Prof Philip Tobias is a South African paleoanthropologist. He has worked at South Africa's famous hominid fossil sites. He is known world wide for his work with early humans and has authored more than 1000 books. Has done a lot of research on hominid fossils and human evolution. He stsudied at the University of Witwaterstrand. He was born in Durban.
